Eligibility Criteria:
The eligibility criteria for BPSC CCE 2025 are straightforward but strict. Make sure you meet all requirements before applying:
- Educational Qualification: A graduate degree in any stream from a recognized university. Some posts like FAO may require a degree in Economics, Commerce, or Statistics.
- Age Limit (as of August 1, 2025):
- General (Male): 21–37 years
- General (Female) & OBC: Up to 40 years
- SC/ST (All): Up to 42 years

BPSC Selection Process:
The BPSC exam follows a three-stage selection process. Candidates have to qualify each stage to move forward.
Preliminary Exam (Objective Type)
This is the first level of screening.
- Total Marks: 150
- Subject: General Studies
- Duration: 2 hours
- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark for each wrong answer
This paper tests your overall awareness — with a focus on Bihar-specific history, politics, geography, and economy, along with national current affairs.
Mains Exam (Descriptive Type)
Only those who clear prelims will appear for mains. It includes:
- General Hindi: 100 marks (Qualifying – 30% minimum)
- General Studies Paper I: 300 marks
- General Studies Paper II: 300 marks
- Optional Subject: 300 marks
The optional paper must be chosen from a list of 34 subjects such as Public Administration, History, Sociology, Geography, etc.
Interview (Personality Test)
Candidates who qualify the Mains are called for a personal interview.
- Interview Marks: 120
The interview checks your communication skills, leadership potential, analytical thinking, and understanding of current issues, especially related to Bihar.
